Three different speed limits pertain to the towing of trailers in addition to general speed limits.
30 km/h. 30 km/h is the maximum permissible speed for slow-moving vehicles, so-called towed implements, e.g. launch and recovery trailers. These are non-registered vehicles lacking brakes and suspension that must always display SMV (LGF) signs. Direction indicators are always required on public roads, and after dark, lights.
40 km/h. 40 km/h is the speed limit for unbraked trailers that do not fulfil the conditions below.
80 km/h. 80 km/h is the speed limit for unbraked trailers that fulfil the conditions below, and braked trailers.
Unbraked trailers. Registered unbraked trailers with suspension with a total weight that does not exceed half the towing vehicle’s kerb weight (however not above 750 kg) may be towed at 80 km/h.
